As a recent intern at the Cerc@Marc Engineering Resource Center, I had the valuable opportunity of being part of a team dedicated to researching disabilities and accessibility. Through this experience, I gained a comprehensive understanding of the importance of inclusive design and its impact on creating user-friendly experiences for individuals with diverse needs.
During my internship, I actively applied the principles of design accessibility and universal design to the various projects I worked on. I ensured that the recruitment posters, infographics, and presentations I created were not only visually appealing but also optimized for accessibility. By considering factors such as color contrast, typography, and alternative text for images, I aimed to make the content accessible to a wider audience. I made all of the icons and graphics from start to finish.
